Our funeral services
We recognise that dealing with funeral arrangements can be very emotional and upsetting. That’s why you’re assured of our deepest respect and sympathy at all times.
While most of our services at L.J Tregunna Ltd are conducted around the Truro area, we can offer services to families who wish for their loved ones to be returned to Cornwall, or buried in other parts of the UK.
We have our own in-house Chapel of Rest, so families are able to visit their loved ones in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.
Both religious and non-religious services can be arranged, and you can decide whether you would wish for a burial or cremation. We can also help you with plaques or remembrance rose bushes at the local crematorium.
We offer a full range of coffins and caskets for you to choose from, including wicker coffins that are environmentally friendly.
Our services are there for you to help you through this difficult time. We will help and guide you through any forms that you need to fill in, including registering the death with the Registrar and liaising with the clergy, local and parish councils and solicitors, banks and executors as required.

A floral tribute is the perfect way to respectfully acknowledge the passing of someone close to you, at L.J Tregunna Ltd in Truro we understand that many families prefer that floral tributes be kept as “close family only”, and we can help you with that, as well as organising any collections that you may wish to consider for local or national charities. We will manage the collection on your behalf for the four weeks following the funeral, and pass you a list of donations and a receipt from the receiving charity.
Although it may be difficult to think about your own funeral, making sure the financial aspects of your funeral are taken care of is a very thoughtful thing to do. We can advise on the different options available to you when it comes to funeral plans.

When the day comes, how the funeral is arranged is entirely your decision. No matter what you would like to happen, we will do our best to make it happen. We’re there for you and your family at all times, so no matter what you would like to happen – from the quietest, most dignified send off to a full-blown celebration of someone’s life that people will talk about for years to come, we will do our best to make arrangements.
Every aspect of the service is your choice – the hymns that are sung, the poems and eulogies that are read, the floral tributes that are arranged, the route the funeral cortège takes – all are down to how you want things to happen. We understand that this may be a lot for you to consider, which is why we are with you every step of the way.
Grave tending services
Tending a grave can be quite a time-consuming process, especially if the grave is some distance from where you live. That’s why here at L.J Tregunna Ltd we can offer a complete grave tending service in Truro that will make sure that your loved one’s final resting place is kept in a pleasant condition, and free from debris and litter.
On each visit we will:
– lightly clean the memorial
– clean all memorial pots
– remove any dead flowers
– remove any dead plants or leaf litter
– trim and edge the grass
– lightly prune any bushes or shrubs
– place fresh, seasonal flowers into the vase
We will also provide you with ‘before and after’ photographs so that you can be assured we are performing the task as is expected of us.
The costs for our grave tending services are as follows:
Annual visit £50
Quarterly visits £175
Monthly visits £550
Christmas service £60
Note that the Christmas service includes the placement of a holly wreath.
